I've overclocked my GPU but I'm starting to see artifacts

I've overclocked my card from 1000mhz to 1120mhz and now I'm seeing artifacts with anything higher. Am I'm I correct in saying I now need to bump up the voltages? Cooling isn't an issue at the moment I'm getting high 70s, also the card is overdue a dusting so the temps can probably be lower still.

More about overclocked gpu starting artifacts
  1. 70 is too high its your cooling, it normally will throttle at that spped, overclocking the GPU will mess things up and probably destroy itself without attaching a watercooling block to it

It's run high 80s before without any issues, no artifacts, no crashing, cooling isn't my issue.
  3. That's ridiculous. GPUs are functional up to 95C and high 70s is perfectly fine.

I wouldn't let it get over 85 and if you are already in the high 70s I wouldn't add voltage. Just leave it where it is.

If it gets near 90 I've set up the fans so that they fire up 100% and it drops to about 86 ish

Just got #1 for similar systems with no water cooling on the GPU.

Didn't custom cool my GPU, got the top firestrike score for FX-4300/GTX 760.

I have the top position for a q8300 and 280x(listed as HD 9790) the name is K-OS Fury, whats your point, or did you just come here to show off.

nope, saying that air cooling works well too.
