Please help Im having fps drop with brand new r9 390 and temp issues, using latest drivers

Hey guys and girls, I hope your doing great! Specs: i5 4690k@stock MSI R9 390 NZXT H440
Recently I have installed the new Crimson drivers, and ever since I have been having major FPS drops in games like GTA 5 and Fallout 4 using lower setting than I was before. This rig is about 2 months old. So my question is, why am I getting these fps drops and how can I fix it? Thank you so much for your help

  1. Instead of trying some years to troubleshoot just return it to the warranty or try it to another pc to see if the gpu is the issue

That cant be it and there has to be another solution because it worked way better like 2 weeks ago before the drivers
  3. You hadnt mentioned that... revert to old drivers fast

How do I do that without not wiping out all my drivers. AMD only lists the latest drivers on their website
  6. there must be an option to show an older one... If you cant find it request it from someone or send email to amd support. Or use the driver that was on CD with your gpu

I emailed AMD and still nothing, Ive googled it and still nothing.
Does doing this have the potential to kill my graphics card or my computer? And also i dont have a optical drive
  8. on your C drive you will have a folder with your amd drivers in it including your old drivers for your GPU
  9. Does doing this have the potential to kill my graphics card or my computer? not at all people change drivers all the time upgrading and downgrading

So do I just un install the latest drivers?
  12. there is no harm in installing different drivers yes I would recommend uninstalling your current drivers it will probably revert too 640x480 which is not pleasant but have a shortcut too the old drivers install and you should be good
