Radeon R7 200 Graphics

Hello,

I am thinking of upgrading from my laptop to a desktop computer for a fairly cheap price. I do lots of 3D rendering work and some gaming, so I was looking for a computer with a fair amount of RAM and great graphics card.
I found this computer on Ebay.

However, when looking at the specs, it said this:

"RADEON R7 200 GRAPHICS FROM THE APU. YOU CAN ADD A RADEON R7 360 TO CROSSFIRE AND INCREASE PERFORMANCE SIGNIFICANTLY."

I'm fine without upgrading, but what does this mean? If I don't upgrade, will I get horrible FPS?

  1. dont believe him. no current apu can crossfire with anything higher than a r7 250. doing so only gives you a performance hit. That apus can play most newer games at a low settings and older games at low-high. but it is by no means powerful. i suggest you find a pc with a equivalent dedicated gpu around the same price. if you cant, go with that one. it will be okay with moderate gaming. if you want higher performance, you can go to amd website to see which gpu can cross fire with the integrated r7 200 or buy a even higher end gpu and disabled the on board r7 200. make sure the cpu doesnt bottleneck tho.

Would purchasing the upgrade linked on the eBay page work?

No, hes lying to you. only r7 250 which is a weaker gpu can crossfire. That guy said the apu can run witcher 3 on high setting which i know for a fact is false. The price is still fair tho, given the spec. It can play games around 1/2 the performance of modern day console. If you add a r7 250 crossfire, then it will be close to playstation 4

I know this is kind off the question, but I'm very new to desktop computers in general (though I used to own one). Can you give me some basic specs of a computer that would work fine but will not cost too much (< $400)? If not, that's fine, I'll probably buy this one anyway.

400 dollars and under is not a sweet spot for pc, even if you build one yourself which is usually less than a prebuilt pc. You arent very tech savvy so i believe you are going to buy from a manufacturer, yes? then that one is probably your best bet lol. or you can spend 500+ for 2-3 times the performance. that pc on ebay is anywhere from half to 2/3 the performance of PlayStation 4. im not sure if its the former or the latter.
