More about computer start stick ram brand
  1. More info would be helpful. What brand is the one that you are using, how many DIMMs are occupied, is the new RAM compatible with your mobo?

The most propable is that you are using a non compatible RAM.
  2. hyper 8gb ram and the one in it is a 4 and i don't want to use that one anymore because the 4gb is full and the 8 has nothing on it

The ram stick i have is 4gb the new one i have is 8gb the 4 has been in there since i got the motherboard on my cyberpower and i dont wanna use that one anymore i wanna use the 8gb
  4. Still need a bit more info. The mobo you listed has a few different revisions. Which one are you using? Also, need more info on the ram. What MHz speed and CL is it?

You didn't give me any more info by saying that. You also need to learn some basics first.
A RAM does not get full by having it for a long time. It's not like a Hard Disk that is being used for storage (files). Every time you restart your PC it completely empties.

As I said in my first post, the most probable is that your motherboard is not compatible with your new RAM (which I believe is a Kingston Hyper X, and not Hyper). If I am correct, you need to return the 8GB RAM and find another that is compatible.
  6. Need the model #s of the DRAM as well as what CPU, get the free app CPU-Z and it will tell you what CPU in the CPU tab, then try each stick individually and look in the SPD tab of CPU-Z for the Part Number of the stick
  7. Amd fx-4130 quad-core processor
    DDR3 size 12 gbytes
    channel # single

    SPD khx1600c10d3/8g
  8. Make sure you have the latest BIOS, try clearing the CMOS, then install the 8GB stick in slot 1 and try - let us know what happens
