Suggestion of Graphics card upgrade.

Hi guys i'm new to the forum, and i'm from the philippines.

I would like to ask what would be the best videocard for my rig that does not require external power like 6pins because my psu doesn't have a 6pin connector.

My Budget is around 90 -100 US$.

I want to play games like NBA 2K16, GTA V, BF3 etc in mid-high settings.

Rig Specs:

Intel Ivy Bridge DH61HQ
Intel I3- 3210@3.20ghz (3rd Gen)
2x4gb= 8GB RAM 1600mhz ddr3
Geforce GT 420 <<<---( I want to upgrade this)
Zeno Power ATX-P4 600W (Generic)
Monitor: 1366x768 resolution.

Answers will be much appreciated. Thank you.

  1. You could probably find a GTX 750 Ti at that price range, a huge upgrade over a Tesla-based card.

    Nope, 750tis get their power directly from the motherboard and don't need any cables coming from the PSU or any other component. Just plug it in and that's it. :)

    Not necessarily. There are many available which do require a 6-pin connector from the PSU. It is worth double checking this, it should be mentioned in the product description.
