Computer cant utilize 1gb internet speed

Hello, Recently I switched to a fiber optic internet service provided by century link. My computer can't make use of this however. I have speed tested my other devices and I have found that they all gave 300mbs + internet speeds. I tested mine and it ran at 14mbs. I would really appreciate it if someone could help. :)

I have a networking card that can run up to 300mbs.

  1. What modem did they provide?

What are the rest of your network components -- do you have a gigabit capable router (and switches if any)?

Do all devices have gigabit wired adapters?

If not, you will not get gigabit to any wireless devices, not even close. The best you will do is around a quarter of that if you are lucky, depending on the specific adapters.
