  1. It's possible the keyboard cable has come loose, or the keyboard has gone bad. Look up "How to Replace the Keyboard in the Dell Inspiron 15 Laptop" on youtube and there should be a video there that shows how to take it apart and replace the keyboard (I can't get the direct link at work but I know there is at least one video there). This will show you how to open it up and reset your keyboard connection. If there is no improvement after that, you can look into replacing the keyboard with a new one. This looks like a correct replacement, but you can look further into it yourself. http://www.amazon.com/LotFancy%C2%AE-replacement-keyboard-Inspiron-numbers/dp/B00SHCQRKK I would expect to have to pay about 15-30$ for a replacement, and the linked one is about 20$.
  2. Turn laptop off remove ac adapter and battery and hold down the power button for 30 seconds it might need to remove static
