Asus Maximus Vll Hero or Gigabyte Z97X Gaming 7

Hi guys, i need some help to choose my mobo for my rig. So here my rig list:


Motherboard : Above or other mobos $190 and below
CPU : Intel Core i7-4790K
CPU Cooler : Cooler Master Hyper 212X
RAM : Corsair Vengeance 16GB DDR3 1600 MHz
Graphics Card : Asus GTX 980 4GB
SSD : Samsung 850 EVO 250GB SSD
Hard Drive : Seagate Barracuda 2TB

Im going to use this rig for my editing video and gaming. And OCing soon. Thanks.

  2. I do not claim to be an expert but when building my my latest i7 PC to a similar standard to your proposed build I chose the Gigabyte Gaming 7 and I am very happy with my choice.

    I'd recommend looking at the ASUS Z97-A ATX Motherboard.
    Between the two you've mentioned I'd go for the ASUS, it has a great track record in terms of overclocking, more SATA ports, enhanced audio and ASUS generally have good quality control.

    Actually I already looking at the ASUS Z97-A earlier but its out of stock at my country. I even looking at the ASUS Z97 PRO GAMER but its same too. And then I decide to choose between these mobos that I already mentioned. But these two mobo prices quite similar, thats why im little bit confuse right now.
