Should I trade my Gigabyte Windforce R9 280X Rev.2 3gb for an EVGA GTX 960 SSC 2gb?

I got offered a trade for my Gigabyte Windforce R9 280X rev.2 3gb for an EVGA GTX 960 SSC 2gb. My 280X is basically brand new with all the original accessories, and box. The gtx 960 has been used for a month and comes with the original box and accessories as well. I know the 280x has better performance and memory but the only reason im contemplating this deal is because I heard that this specific 280x doesn't last very long, and has many issues with artifacting,
PS: I bought my 280X for $140 CAD

I would never even consider that. I have heard those gigabyte 200 series amd cards have a lot of DOA issues but if it works fine now I imagine it will for at least the next few years and if you bought it new they come with a factory 2 year warranty.
  2. I'd keep the 280X.

Where did you hear that the card doesn't last long? I've had two Gigabyte GPUs and neither gave me any problems. It sounds like scare stories to me.

No need to go for the gtx 960, keep the R9 280x. Many of my friends own a r9 280x and one of then has it from launch date, so trust me it will do great for a long time
