GTA V Graphics card compatibility on current machine...

Hi guys, New to this forum, I was wondering if someone could recommend a graphics card that would run grand theft auto v on pc if my current specs are good enough which I think they are... I have a Intel icore 5 4690k 3.5ghz processor 8gb ram Gigabyte GA-Z87-D3HP motherboard with a corsair 430w power supply... I just want to make sure any video card I get will be compatible with my motherboard. Thank you in advance :)

  1. Yo,

What is your exact budget so that I can recommend cards to you that you can actually 'afford'!
  2. Motherboard compatibility with a gpu isn't an issue(motherboard has a 16x pci-e port), your limiting factor on what gpu you can use is the PSU. The Corsair CX isnt very good quality wise but it should run a gtx 950. Anything bigger and you'll need a bigger higher quality PSU.
  3. If you are looking for a budget card. Go for a gtx 750 ti ovcer clocked editions. It will be arround $200 or less. That can play the game in highend graphics and no issues and your psu will be totally enough and nothing will bottleneck your card. If you have the budget gtx 960 will be the max you will be able to go. If you go higher your psu will not be enough to power up the gpu.
  4. I agree with bignasty, and because you have K series CPU I assume you are planning to do a little overclocking? If so you must upgrade that PSU -- refer to this to help guide you if/when that time comes.
