Will upgrading CPU fan can improve load temp

Wondering whether an upgrade will help improve cpu cooling. I am planning to change my QF120 balance fan to NF-F12 ppc 3000. The CFM comparision are 49 vs 109... How much will this improve temp.

Im using cryorig h7.

  1. it should help a decent bit but it all depends on case air flow, if you have poor case airflow it wont make any difference really.

Cryorig H7 is an excellent cooler for it's price and i love the aesthetics too.

Changing fans will barely do anything to the performance, it may even increase the temperatures by a Celsius or two, the fan mounted has been optimized for that cooler. However usually doing a push pull setup with two fans will give you an extra 2C or a bit more better performance.

Getting a better fan may decrease the noise of the fan, however it's not worth it especially since the Cryorig H7's fan isn't that bad.

  3. I have made the upgrade... cant get the noctua NF-F12 ppc 3000. Got supply issues that need me to wait.
change to a coolermaster jet flo 120.. the CFM is almost the same and i notice that the sound was very loud... need to mod a bit on the pin to secure the fan to the heat sink... i got 4c down average... that is great... it may not be much.. why not... will be saving for better cooler in the future.

  4. I just tried using a ML120 fan on my H7 and it made no difference in performance, and because the ML120 is 2400RPM, it was alot louder. Not worth upgrading fans
