How can I get my back panel USB 3.0 ports working?

For a while now, the blue USB 3.0 ports on my motherboard have been non functional. The only working USB ports are the four USB 2.0 ports. The board is an MSI Z97 Gaming 7. I'm not sure whether it's a problem with the drivers, or something else, as I'm not very knowledgeable in that area. Do you have any idea what could be wrong?

This is what my device manager currently looks like.

Well hardware manager seems to reporting the driver is installed and working.
So it would leave a fact that if the board has a uefi bios, that you have not gone into the advanced section that deals with all of the Usb port or usb 3.0 ports.

As they can be disabled in the bios it`s self.
If you have two front usb 3.0 ports and they work fine then it will be the case that the rear ones are disabled in your bios.
Since hardware manager is reporting the driver is installed and working right.

I own an Asus MA990X evo2.0 that comes with the option in the bios to disable usb ports.
So your MSI Z97 most likely contains a menu also in the bios to enable or disable usb ports at will.
So have a good look in the bios of the motherboard in the Advanced options.

Fixed the problem. Turns out it was just drivers that needed to be installed. Thanks for the help.
  3. Just had a look at the manual for your board.
Your in the right section from the pics you posted of the bios.
It says try setting values to Auto.

I take it you did install the USB 3.0 drivers from the support dvd that came with the board. In any case here is the link to all of the drivers for the Z97.

Try and install the usb 3.0 drivers from the Msi support site see if the back ports work then. Your looking at the ASmedia 3.0/3.1 usb drivers.
