  1. Verified PSU cable are properly connected to the GPU?
  2. Interesting, I have a MSI 980 and the front fan (nearest the backplate) doesn't run, back fan runs fine, card works otherwise, even if warmer than I would expect. Is your card a MSI model?

I have triple checked that the cable is in correctly and it is.

    No, I have a STRIX(ASUS)GTX980 4GB
  5. Motherboard model?, cpu? overclocked?
You say you just bought the card, so was it an add-on to an existing, working system? If you put your old card back in does it work? If that's the case, sounds like you just got a bad card D.O.A.

    I have a GA-790A-DS3,and a FX 8120 3.1 GHz and it's not OC.
I replaced it with my Radeon HD 7850, I get the same error when I place back the old card, I tried both cards in both of my PCIe slots and didn't work.
  7. sound like a psu or mother board problem, although possibly a cpu. Do you have a way to measure the voltages coming from the psu?

Sorry for late respons, I got in contact with a old friend that works with electronics and he belives it's the motherboard so I will just buy a new motherboard and see if that work.

Thinking of getting a MSI 990FXA Gaming.
