My Seagate External Hard Drive is making clicking noises and won't connect to PC

I accidently dropped my hard drive and at the beginning, I can still use it. But. A week later yesterday, it is making some clicking noise. My PC can't connect to it at least not every time, but I did see the hard drive twice but could not get enough time to copy the files. Anyone can help? I have my family photos in there and it is really bad to lose them.

Thanks

  1. New clicking noises indicate a mechanical failure.

If the data is seriously important, you can look into a data recovery service, but they are quite expensive.
