raw read error rate and relocation event count are very very high

Raw read error rate and relocation event count are very very high in the 10,000's and 100,000's in one 500GB Seagate Drive. what's up? All my other drives are WD Drives and have very low and sometimes 0 readings.

  1. it mean time to replace it.
  2. Hi there jhmac777,

These two parameters could indicate a mechanical problem with your drive. You need to back up the data stored on it as soon as possible as it could fail at any time. In case it is under warranty, you can just contact the manufacturer and eventually RMA it.
