You should have no issue with either... As far as the Sammy 850 drive, as it's so new, it does not appear on the board's QVL listing, but should (should) not prove to have any issues.
As far as G.Skill RAM sets, there appears to be this set of 8GB 1600 speed, but the CAS does not look to be all that great (11) and is only 1 stick:
G.SKILL 8GB F3-1600C11
The QVL is a guide and is recommended RAM by the manufacturer... Meaning, they cannot guarantee other sets will perform optimally with their listed product.
You may want to look at a support forum to see what others are using... NewEgg is also a decent reference to see what buyers are using with their Gaming 5's. In my experience though, G.Skill RAM and Gigabyte's Z97 boards seem to make a good combo. Note, try and keep whatever RAM you purchase voltage either at 1.5v or 1.65v with your Gaming 5 and 8GB is plenty for gaming and 1600/1866 speed(s) are just fine.
As a reference here's a very popular set, depending on your color scheme: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231445
This is just my advice and not gospel... Good luck and hope this points you in the right direction.
