PC randomly shuts down during intensive programs.

Hey guys I'm currently having problems, when I run graphic intensive games that draws a lot of power to the GPU, my computer shuts down. At first I thought it was the PSU but doing some more research people are saying my motherboard's anti surge feature threshold is too high.
I'm currently using these components

Should I turn off Asus anti surge feature? I already have a surge protector connected to the outlet

More about randomly shuts intensive programs
  1. Are you sure that you aren't overheating your CPU? It sounds like your motherboard is going into a thermal protection shutdown. Are you using an aftermarket CPU cooler?
  2. Pretty sure it's not the cpu, already tested that by running prime95 for a 2-3 hours. The computer shuts off in like the first 10 minutes of intensive games.
  3. How old is your PSU? On average, a PSU looses about 10% power efficiency per year under normal use.
  4. Bought it last year in october, still really new

Bad ram can also cause that behavior. Have you ran memtest86 to check for errors?
  6. Yea already did 6 passes of memtest, the game I'm playing is hitman:absolution which shuts down my pc in just a couple of minutes, while stress testing and running 3dmark/unigine does nothing
