Couger Vs Noctua - Which is better for case and heatsink fans?

I'm currently planning to upgrade my case to a enthoo luxe and to buy some after market fans with it.

Right now, I'm torn between the Noctua IPPC line and the Couger CFD led fan series.

I'm wondering what is the best fan for overall airflow and temperatures, and sound doesn't matter.

Thanks for the help :)

  1. I have a few cougar 120mm fans. They work well, good cfm, but above 1000rpm you can sure hear em.
  2. But do they push more air/ have more static pressure than noctua fans?
  3. Here's what I found. The Noctua Industrial 140mm puts out a max of ~100cfm @ 2000 rpm max and the cougar 140mm puts out ~70cfm @ 1200 rpm max.

Doesn't the couger have leds? Would you suggest just getting the cougers or just getting the noctuas with an led set

You can get the cougar 140mm led fans for around $15-18 US. The Noctua 140mm IPPC fans are almost double that.
  6. Are they better than the Corsair AF or SP fans? And If the cougers cost that much, do you think they have a better price/performance? Also what is your build with the cougers, wondering how good the temps are
  7. Cougars make good case fans and are relatively cheap. Noctua makes better case / radiator fans but cost more. @900 rpm both are quiet, above 1000 rpm cougars get much louder. Noctua doesn't do leds. If you want good led case fans with good cfm, look at bit Fenix pro lines.
  8. The specter pro or led pro?
  9. I think I'll just go with couger led fans, thanks for the help guys :)
