Msi motherboard bios overclocking problems?

hi, i recently purchased an i5 4690k and an msi b85m-43g motherboard

after installing everything i went to overclock my brand new processor but i found that it wont let me

the selection just says auto, no brackets around it to change and i cant change it to anything else

i think its a problem with my motherboard rather than the cpu so if anyone can give any insight to my problems that would be fantastc
any help?

whats the OC genie thing then? it seems to boast overclocking abilities
  3. OC genie probably lets you set XMP profiles on RAM but your chipset does not allow CPU overclocking

Only that cpu(G3258) can overclock on a few non-z97 motherboard.
If you want to overclocking I5 4690K ,you must choose z97 chips motherboard.
