Bare minimum budget PC

Hello, I am building a PC on a budget to run photo editing software such as Photoshop CC and lightroom.
Problem is that it is on such a tight budget that I am too unsure about the reliability of the selected setup
and whether or not it will run photoshop smoothly at 1080p.

The system needs peripherals and an OS too (so a good monitor, keyboard and mouse)

I put this together, but it's at a price range and set-up of which I don't know how it would run such software. So any recommendations, advice etc are very welcome.

Let's say the total budget for the entire system, with peripherals is around 750 EUR or 930 USD

  1. This will not the run the software basically at all. The CPU is FAR too weak. You really want an i3.

Is the CPU the only component that is not qualified? Or is there more?
I checked the system requirements on the Adobe website though and according to that this qualifies :/
  3. I mean4gb RAM is a bit low, but the CPU is what you really need to care about. You REALLY need an i3 minimum for real photoshop/lightroom work.
  4. fx 6300 and a decent asus mobo m5a97 le etc much better photoshop doesnt require that much power to be honest unless you are doing some crazy work. and it barley uses that much gpu power make sure that it is detecting your gpu in photoshop

throw a 240 or 120gb ssd int here makes all the difference in loading and photoshop and a small hdd for the rest of your stuff.

build my aunt a pc for the same purpose it runs great with a ssd
  5. Don't even worry about getting a GPU, if you go intel, as the integrated graphics are better than a gt210 anyway.

Alright, changing it to an Intel® Core™ i3-3240, 3,4 GHz

So I can get away using no GPU at all? Oo
  8. YEs you do not need a GPU with that i3 as it has good integrated graphics.
  9. yes, sometimes low-end GPUs are worse than integrated graphics.

Alright, great! Thanks for letting me know. I also changed the RAM to 3x Corsair 2 GB DDR3-1333,
    VS2GB1333D3, Value, Lite Retail

Should I change the mobo as well?
  11. No, do not get 3 stick of RAM. That will not allow for dual channel. Get 2 sticks.

    Okay, thanks. Changed it to
    Corsair 8 GB DDR3-1333 Kit
    CMV8GX3M2A1333C9, ValueSelect

Will this run the mentioned software smoothly at 1080p on that monitor?

    Yes it will run decently.

Perfectly smoothly? No. Budget is simply too low, but it will run well.
