Water cooling advice

I need some advice here.

I have decided to switch to water cooling, the main reason is space and efficiency. And i am looking for maybe a kraken x60 or maybe a corsaire H80i. I basically use my computer for gaming and i might OC, but this is uncertain.

My PC spec:
-HAF932 AMD edition
-ASUS Maximus VII Hero
-Intel Core i7-4790K
-ASUS Strix GeForce GTX 980 OC
-CORSAIR Vengeance Pro 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1866
-SSD 840 PRO Series 256GB SAMSUNG

  1. any particular reason you are not looking at the 240 mm or 280 mm versions? These actually cool much better so noise can be reduces and if you do decide to OC then you have more head room for it.
  2. To be honest i did some research on the net, and these two cooler kit got some great review for a couple of website. At fist i was going with a Noctua NH-D14, but this thing is big.
  3. Yes the Noctua is very large and heavy. The 120 mm versions are great for stock cooling and minor OCing but they seem to run the fans at such a high RPM that they are heard more than most tower cooler. The reason for this is that they need to have a high pressure and as the blade cuts through the air to create this there is a loud noise. Now don't get me wrong, the 240 and 280 mm versions have loud fans also but because they cool so much better the fans can spin at a lower RPM so they don't make as much noise.

Most AIO liquid coolers can not beat the DH-14 but come very close and save stress on the boards CPU socket and cooler mounting points. here are some comparisons done by toms here : http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/water2.0-extreme-kraken-x40-hydro-h90-elc120,3434.html And http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/h100i-elc240-seidon-240m-lq320,3380.html
  4. What could you suggest to me for 240 or 280 mm cooler kit.

And what if i dont OC, should the factory cooler that come with my cpu, should be enought?

Btw thanks for taking the time to help me.

Yes the stock cooler will keep it from overheating but they can be loud in there own right. One of links I posted covered 2 of the 240 mm versions. I suggest you read the article and go frm there. Those articles cover temp and fan noise comparisons. I have always been partial to the h100i myself but this is just personal opinion amd really no evidence to persuade anyone to go that way.
