I just got my computer repaired by PC specialist and I'm still having issues with it, I need some help.

Basically, the issue that I had before was that my computer would not turn on at all, I tried getting another PSU and it done the same thing, the motherboard lights would come on but nothing. They said that it was just interfering with it, who knows. Anyway, I sent it off and they fixed that and it was working for most of the day and now it's started going wrong again. I get a blue or orange screen with vertical lines and no error code and I can't do anything at all, I have to force shut down using the switch. This happened a few times today, I tried resetting the Bios settings which done nothing. My issue now is that it turns on and then goes off after a few seconds, on and off constantly. I let it rest for a few hours and then the tower seems to start up normally without turning off but there is no signal being delivered to my screen. I've also tried updating my graphics card drivers which hasn't helped. I thought at once that it could be the screen as well because when it crashes the music in the background carries on but in the most recent crash it was beeping like crazy. I have used a program to check whether it's overheating but the graphics card and processor seem to be fine, also, once when I started it up it said attempt to overclock failed. I never tried to overclock it, anyway I reset the Bios settings to default and it hasn't really changed anything. I also ran disk check and it came up with no errors. So, I have no idea what the actual cause is, there is too much trial and error to go on, any advice would be greatly appreciated.

My specs:
Motherboard - Asus rampage IV Extreme
I7 3930k processor
ATI Radeon HD 7970 3GB
16 GB RAM, Kingston Hyper Beast (for some weird reason it only detects 8 GB, maybe I have some faulty RAM)
SSD 220 GB
Windows 8, 64 bit
Dragon Rider case with plenty of fans and with a water cooler for the CPU.

  1. Did you build this yourself, or did you buy it prebuilt from somewhere?
If prebuilt, is it still under warranty?

I didn't build this myself, PC specialist built it which is why I sent it back to them, no, I no longer have warranty since it has past a year, I would have to pay for any faulty parts which apparently there are not since they sent it back and I only had to pay for delivery. I do get the labor free though which is for three years but that's all.
  3. Make and model of the PSU?
Make and model of the SSD? (220GB is an odd size)

With that parts list, my spidey sense is tingling.
