Every time time i turn on the computer i get this message. I tried going into BIOS to configure boot devices, but when i try to change Boot Option Priorities, i only get one choice, which is called "P2: SlimtypeDVD A DS8A5SH". What do i do, to make it boot succesfully?

Thanks!

Your HD may have died, in which case, You'd need a new HD & hopefully you made recovery disc to restore the system. (you might get lucky & be able to access the bad hd as a 2nd drive to recover data)

You could be really lucky & maybe the laptop got bumped & the hard drive is not connected properly. Usually they are secured very good, but. . .
You will need to take off the access panel probably on the bottom & ensure all the connections are tight.

Either the hard drive connection came loose or the hard drive is bad.

I believe you also get this error if the BIOS/UEFI has SecureBoot enabled but the OS was installed in Legacy mode. If this happens, the computer would still see the HDD, just refuse to boot from it.
