Hi all

I've just installed an Asus GTX 770 in my system, replacing an Asus GTX 760 (long story but it was a free upgrade, however I'm having nothing but problems with my PC now.

When I try and play a game, Metro 2033 Redux for example, it freezes after a minute or so and returns to the desktop. I then get the error message: 'Display driver not responding and has been recovered'. The OS had also frozen on a couple of occasions.

I have tried uninstalling the drivers and reinstalling them, checked for malware and also checked for any loose wires inside my case, however the problem is still there. I had no issues whatsoever with my previous card and I don't seem to be able to find a fix for the problem.

Has anybody got any suggestions?

Many thanks in advance!

Here are my specs:

Asus GTX 770 2gb
i5 4690k
MSI Z97 Gaming 3 mobo
8gb RAM
Corsair CX600w PSU
Windows 8 Pro

I have the latest Nvidia driver installed, 344.11.

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2665946 open this link scroll down click the Fix it button or link. Then click Run in the File Download dialog box, and follow the steps in the Fix it wizard.
It may be a memory problem and passing the memtest doesn't proves that.
If you OC any think then that can cause problems like these.

Thanks for the info, however, I can't seem to run the fixit program as it says it is only for Windows 7 and Vista - I'm running Windows 8. Is there an alternative?

Thanks
