bottleneck core 2 duo

how does bottleneck works? if i have Core 2 Duo and Gainward GTX750TI 2GB DDR5
that mean its bottleneck my CPU.Then, i will get FPS drop?I wish i can at play at high setting.I dont mind if cant at ultra.Example,BF4 can play at 50-60 FPS with GTX750TI but with bottleneck it will drop the FPS?i dont mind too if i play at medium at least i can enjoyable new release game.

My Current Spec:Core 2 Duo E7400
P31-ES3G
GT220 1GB DDR3

Note:Not at low setting i could not accept that.hahahahahahaha

Will it bottleneck? Well it depends on the game and single vs multi player.
Basically yes it will sometimes. BF3/BF4 multiplayer will struggle
but single player games should be able to run highish settings.

Battlefield 3 and 4 multiplayer do not like core 2 duo. Not at all.

Yes, all cpu bottleneck means is that your framerates may be lower than other systems with the same graphics card.

If your CPU usage, per Task Manager, gets to 100% then the CPU is 'bottlenecking' your PC.

If your cpu cannot perform any better - its at 100% - then it is stopping your PC from performing better.

It depends on the game. For example, Crysis 2 and the new Tomb raider are very GPU bound and your E7400 wouldn't bottleneck much at all. In other games it will be quite noticeable. Regardless, you should always be playing on medium / high to try and push the load onto the GPU

Depends on how much they use the CPU.

And surely you're joking about Watch Dogs - http://www.game-debate.com/games/index.php?g_id=4546&game=Watch%20Dogs - you need a quad core CPU for that.

Dota2 and CSGO will play just fine on high settings, lots of games will play just fine. But newer games and online games will often be too much for your E7400.

Oh I see,i will get the GPU first for this year,next year i go and buy new MOBO,PROCESSOR,RAM.

Just 1 more question, Pentium G is good for budget gaming and can it handle GTX750ti

buying core 2 extreme not a good idea.because i can get new mobo,i5 and a lot of new stuff if i get a core 2 extreme

If you plan to upgrade soon then just buy the 750ti and you can keep using it when you upgrade.

My pick for best budget CPU is the athlon 750k or 760k, the pentium G is still just a dual core.

If you can afford a little more then get an i3 or a FX-6300
