RAID on a laptop would be a serious battery destroyer since you'll be running two mechanical hard drives as a complete array, I'd advise against that, and running SSDs in RAID will save battery but the cost per GB is astronomical compared to SSD / regular HD or a hybrid drive.
  3. "Storage Subsystem Help me decide:
Internal RAID - Not Enabled to Not RAID Capabl"... It was this choice that started this whole confusion to begin with. Then the next choice I had, I posted above. Could you please save me some serious $$$ and tell me what this means?? Please, your help is greatly appreciated.
  4. Internal RAID - Not Enabled to Not RAID Capable
    Mean it not RAID.

Do you need RAID, or you don't even know that mean? what do you use the laptop for?
