Whenever I use a windows installer, My computer crashes randomly (Repeatedly) for about 10-20 minutes after I have used it?

So I Custom built my PC, and everything works fine. But like the title says, whenever i use a windows installer, my PC just started freezing and Crashing Randomly for about 10-20 minutes then it doesn't happen again until I use another installer.. Anyone know why?

Specs:
I3-4130
8GB RAM
GTX660
WesternDigital 1TB drive (i think..)

  1. Aww crap... I didn't see the typo in the title.. Darn.

    EDIT: Changed the title.
  2. Is this the only condition (installer) that triggers the failure?

What anti-virus and anti-malware apps are you using? Have you scanned your system completely with each?

Yea, just very rarely it would randomly happen.
I have Webroot Secure Anywhere. Ill do a scan right now.

Ok so I did the scan, And it didnt find anything.
  4. Hmm... It seems to not happen anymore.. I will come back to this forum if it happens again.
  5. OK. We are here 24/7. Good luck!

Ok figured it out.. Installers don't cause it, Its when I restart my computer.. When it boots, it does that repeastedly for 5-20 minutes.
  7. So the system freezes and possibly crashes during that 5-20 minutes and then is okay afterward (assuming no crash)?

So what happens is this; I restart the computer and it boots fine.. But then, it either freezes and after it freezes crashes (With the DPC_WATCHDOG_VIOLATION Thing). And then it doesnt do that after at the minimum that happening twice.
  9. What version of Windows are you using?
  10. Have you seen this?

The error seems to be driver related.

I would recommend getting and installing the latest Nvidia drivers for sure. If installed, get a new download and re-install them.

  13. What make/model of motherboard are you using? Is its BIOS up to date?

What make/model of power supply are you using?

Also, have you tested your memory (with a tool like memtest, see below)?

Are you attempting to overclock anything (CPU, GPU, memory)?
