Watch Dogs keep freezing!

The game has a proper FPS -I don't know how much exactly but it seems good- but sometimes it keeps freezing for like 5 seconds then works again -Sound works fine while screen is frozen- and there's some minor screen lags.

I'm running the game on Minimum Graphics.

I'm wondering if I add 4GB RAM more it would work -I don't have money for a new CPU- so should I get RAM or will it not fix it?

CPU: Athlon II X2 270 3.4GHz (Dual-Core)

GPU: Nvidia GTX GeForce 650Ti Galaxy Edition 1GB

RAM: 4GB 1333MHz

  1. your cpu i rather weak, as your gpu for the game and your ram isnt enough with the minimum being 6gb, not to mention the game is commonly admitted as badly optimized. however adding 4gb of ram will reduce the lags - freezing but only partially.! also having only 1gb of vram you must chose the lowest texture size for optimal performance.
  2. What is your power supply?

well only CPUs in the markets are either very expensive (FX Hex-Core) or very cheap (Athlon II Dual-Core) and I can't find any Quad Core CPUs, so I thought maybe if i buy the RAM it'd help balance the performance a little bit.

I got graphics on lowest except for level of details is High and the game is pretty much playable i think 20-30 FPS, but the problem is those frequent spikes of screen freezing, so would the RAM fix that or not?
  5. You are just above the minimum power supply requirement of the graphics card. You may be looking at a inadequate power supply.
The power supply would be able to power the day to day operation of the system. But when the graphics card begins to draw more watts than the power supply can handle, it would cause the graphics card to malfunction.

Power supplies do not always output the labelled wattage, particularly the inexpensive ones.

i defenately recommend adding 4gb of ram. it will enhance your gaming experience on such demanding titles. it will reduce lag but dont expect it eliminated as it is present due to other things too, as previously explained.
