Replaced Motherboard, now have no display

I recently replaced my motherboard with this
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813157303

Now after doing that, I cannot see any display on my monitor whatsoever. I have an HP pavilion 500-023w

Any thoughts or ideas as to why I can't see anything at all when I boot up. My fans and lights all fire off normally.

What graphics card do you have and what RAM did you get. ASrocks are notorious for not working with all RAM. Check the compatibility list to make sure you have the right RAM...

  2. The graphics card is a MSI R7770 PMDIGD5 that I bought, but the ram that I have is a Samsung 8GB M378B1G73BH0-CK0. Which is not on the list of compatibles that you just gave me. It supports Samsung but clearly not the 8 GB Samsung. This ram is what originally came with my computer so it was all I had. So I'm assuming that is what my problem is as to why I cannot see a screen is my ram?
  3. Might be. You can try ASrock's tech support to be sure.
  4. Thank you, I really appreciate it.
  5. Ok, I replaced the memory with one that is compatible with this motherboard and still no display at all. Any ideas?
  6. Clean install is needed , you can't just switch a board and have it work properly most of the time.

Is this true even if the replacement hardware is all the same? if so - why?

    Thanks!
