PC occasionally crashes while gaming (black screen, followed by looping sound/ constant buzzing)

Hello everyone. So I am wondering if someone can help me with an issue I am having with my computer. I have a Intel i7- 960 cpu /// NVIDIA GeForce GTX 570 gpu. When I am playing video games such as Diablo III or League of Legends, occasionally (once a day, sometimes more), my computer crashes. My monitor goes black and the sound either loops or buzzes consistently. The only thing I can do is hard reset it to get things going again. I did a thorough uninstall and re install of my Nvidia drivers, which seemed to work for a couple of days until a crash I experienced earlier today. Is it possible my graphics card is dying.? What could be causing this problem.? Any information helps, and please ask if you need any other information. Thank you.
