PC automatically boots up hours after being shut down after an upgrade.

I recently upgraded my computer with a Thermal Take smart 750 watt psu, an AMD FX 8320 and a Gigabyte GTX 770 2gb, I'm not quite sure where I should have posted this so i'm here. Every night since the upgrade, I am awoken by the beep of my pc booting up and the fans going. I am not sure what the problem is or how it could have happened, any help is appreciated.

  1. Can you go into Bios and check to see if Wake-on-LAN (WOL) is enable?
Also, since you're in Bios check for Power Management option > Remain of after power failure is Enable/Disable?
  2. I couldn't find either of those in the bios. I have a Gigabyte GA-970A-DS3 motherboard if that helps. Where exactly in bios do I find these? Under power power managment, I did not see a "remain off after power failure" nor did I see WOL anywhere in bios.

According to the User's Manual on P.37, wak on LAN is under ErP. Also, there are power on password/mouse/keyboard check those while you're in there and disable them and test out.
As for the Power management, the manual said under AC Back.

    hope it helps,
  4. Thank you, hopefully it will work now.
