missing screw for the DVI-D port of a graphic card

hello;

I had a question that perhaps seem a little strange.

I was packing my EVGA GTX 760 card for RMA but I notice that one the DVI port "DVI-D"
screw was missing "the right-screw".

is this common that some of the screw to be missing?

from your personal option -- do anyone think I will be charge? I did not make it loses. it come that way.

thank.

  1. I don't think it's common, but I don't think they will charge you. Personal opinion.

but you know what screw I was referring to, right?

also, kindly tell why I would be charge since the screw is missing for the DVI-D port?
  3. Yes, you're referring to one of the two screws that you secure it to the DVI cable, I think.
I said that I don't think they will charge you, unless you're asking me what would be the reason if I think they do.

ok. if they decide to charge because of the missing DVI screw, under what ground why I am being charge?

I did ask the evga tech support and they I shouldn't be charge but I am not 100% sure.
  5. I don't know anything so technical about this, but if they really really want to charge you and lose a customer, then uh.....something along the line of did not return with original boxing? o_O

what you are saying is that if I were to send the card for RMA not in the original package, than I might be charge, right?

do you think I should contact EVGA RMA department or the tech support department since the tech support department I could not be charge. if I were charge..... they told me to give them a called and ask for a manager that in charge.

do you think EVGA a honest company?

    thank for the quick response.

In my opinion, they will not charge you and you shouldn't worry so much about since you've already sent it out for RMA anyway. I would just wait for a response, and yes they are a pretty good company. If they really did contact you, just tell them the truth that it was missing when you got it and see what they do afterward. It shouldn't be a big concern in my opinion, since it's just an easily replaceable screw instead of a missing fan or something lol
