Two Sapphire R9 280x Toxic won't fit in Corsair 300R ..Help Me Please

Hi,

i am not able to install two sapphire r9 280x toxic in my 300r cabinet with M5A99FX PRO MoBo.

What should i do now ? Please advise or help me..

  1. Buy a new case, if cards won't fit, unless you want to mutilate the case, you're out of luck.

    Shall i cut out the HardDrive Bay to fit in this case??

    That's up to you, you certainly can, but you lose the ability to store extra HDDs or SSDs in the bays you destroy. Weigh the pros and cons and make a decision based on how you think you'll end up using your computer.
  4. 280 toxic is 12.12 in inches....n corsair 300R cn supports 13inches of card wid hdd bay installed....i have 200R so thats why i knw the measurement's.....i dnt knw why ur card is nt fitting properly....yes u r ryt.....u also uninstalls hdd n ssd bay.....gud luck buddy.....
  5. N also there is no need to cut...go to bottom of case....3 plastic switch type to get out that bays......you tube will help u..u cn fit ur hdd in dvd writer's place....gud luck.....

  7. You would need to drill out the rivets that are holding the lower drive cage to the case.

    I am thinking to remove one or two racks from the Bay as I don't want to remove the entire bay..and i won't be adding any HDD or SSD in future to my rig...

    I think the best way to remove is to cut it out in L shape from top to left of that Bay.

    It would be easier to mod the drive cage when it is out of the case. You can rivet the cage back in after finishing the mod.

    Yes, you are correct. But, it looks like the Rivets are very hard to remove without making any damage to other parts of the case..that's why i thought to cut it as just the way it is..But, let me try your way and mod it..
