Making a new build. Should I use my 6 year old PSU?

Currently using a PC I built 6 years ago and I'm wondering if I should reuse the PSU. It has been going strong for 6 years, and I don't think there are any problems with it, but I don't know if it's a good idea.

This is the PSU:

  1. I would say you should be ok, just give it a good dust cleaning.
  2. I don't see a reason why not too.
  3. No problem. You might have to change it depending on the graphics card(s) you want to use for your new build.

generally its not suggested since if a psu fails there goes your build.

if it was originally a very high quality unit i would say that you would probably be more than okay however in this case i think you'd probably be better off getting something else.

your choice. i am not saying you will have issues just saying that alot of people dont recommend it.
  5. Since still working, why not. If enough for the graphics card... why spending on a new one?
