Dell Precision 490 Workstation can I safely use it horizontally?

I just recently picked up an old Dell Precision 490 and I was reading online that it supported horizontal and vertical positioning. Now I have seen other images of the machine being used this way, but the drives were all facing horizontally instead of vertically. Would it be wise for me to lay this machine on it's side?

as long as you aren't moving it back and forth while there's drives spinning inside, it will work either way just fine.

There should be no reason that you would not be able to ;)

So if i layed it on its side and placed a monitor on top of it and stuff it wont mess it up i mean its a dense steel case that seems like it can withstand lots of damage but im not sure
  4. No, that won't hurt it as long as you're not covering fan openings or anything like that (you probably won't).
