AMI's Single Processor, Embedded Motherboard
AMI just let us know about its new Olympus II (series 821) single processor Intel Celeron/Pentium III Coppermine motherboard based on Intel's 815E chipset. AMI says the single-processor Olympus II embedded motherboard can be used in a range of server and workstation applications, including entry-level network workstations, stand-alone home computers, web/email server appliances, small to medium business server appliances, secure socket layer (SSL) appliances, network attached storage (NAS) appliances, VPN/Firewall appliances, Internet caching appliances or Internet appliance/thin clients. Features include Intel Celeron/Pentium III Coppermine support, 133 MHz FSB, Dual channel ATA/100, support for up to four drives, three PCI slots, one AGP slot, 512 MB 133 MHz SDRAM, and on-board 10/100 LAN.
