AMI's AMIBIOS Supports nForce
American Megatrends announced yesterday that its new AMIBIOS8 will support NVIDIA's nForce. AMI says that AMIBIOS8 will also support everything from embedded platforms to servers. As we mentioned Monday , and Tom talked about last month , nForce won't be limited to the Xbox (old news, to be sure, but maybe you've never visited before). It looks like AMI figures its new BIOS will cover not only nForce devices but consumer electronics, telecommunication servers, internet/appliance servers, and web access devices. AMI says it is currently talking to "several large OEMs" to offer an AMIBIOS8 solution for systems using the nForce architecture.
