Ameritrade, Etrade holding merger talks
New York (NY) – Online brokerage giants TD Ameritrade and Etrade are holding merger talks. If successful, the combined firms would create the world’s largest online brokerage house and eclipse the current leader Charles Schwab Corp.
Ameritrade currently has 6.3 million accounts while Etrade has 4.7 million accounts.
