AMD validates Samsung DDR modules
Samsung Semiconductor Inc. says that Advanced Micro Devices has validated 10 of its DDR memory modules, from 64-MegaByte to 256-MByte for both PC1600 or PC2100, which are already in full production. The DDR modules are reportedly compatible with AMD's 760 Athlon chipset or VIA's Apollo Pro 266 and VIA KT266 chipsets for Intel and AMD processors. Samsung is also ramping Direct RAmbus DRAM.
