AMD 64-bit dual-core notebooks keep pricing edge

The unit price of AMD Turion 64 X2-based notebooks is on average about $150 less than an Intel Core 2 Duo (Merom)-based notebook, according to product portfolios that notebook vendors have offered. AMD still has an edge in pricing to compete in the 64-bit dual-core notebook market, sources at notebook vendors indicated, adding that the sufficient performance of the Turion 64 X2 CPU has also caught the attention of buyers.
