AMD to cut prices in October
According to The Register, that publication's sources have revealed that Advanced Micro Devices will fight Intel's Pentium 4 roll-out with another round of dramatic price cuts. AMD has been beating Intel prices on equivalent chips and is planning to keep it that way. Intel plans to cut prices on the Pentium 3 but The Register believes that it will not be enough.
