AMD shows three Athlons at CeBIT
AMD announced three new high-end CPUs, coinciding nicely with the first day at CeBIT, the world's biggest computer show. On parade are: the Athlon XP 2100+ for desktops; the AMD Athlon MP processor 2000+ for servers and workstations; and the mobile AMD Athlon 4 processor 1600+ for notebook PCs. The first two are available immediately with Compaq, Fujitsu Siemens, and NEC-CI lined up to produce desktops based on the new desktop Athlon, and Racksaver and BOXX taking the server CPU.
