AMD Duron hits market running
Beating Intel's low cost entrant, the Celeron, to market by a week, AMD's Duron was officially released today. Good pre-release reviews, including this site's, and a shortage of Intel product bode well for AMD. Compaq, Fujitsu, HP and IBM are planning systems based on the Duron that should cost around the $1,000 mark.
