



SYSmark 2004 SE - Conclusions
At first glance, it seems as though the MSI S271 with the Turion 64 X2 processor is up to 8 percent faster than the Asus W5F equipped with the Core Duo T2400 CPU. However, if you consider that the CPU clock rate of the Turion 64 X2 TL-60 is almost 10 percent higher than that of the Core Duo T2400 in the Asus W5F, you will notice that the system performance of the Intel system is, on average, approximately 7 percent higher at the same clock rate.
But then again, who cares about such trifles in real life? For the user, the most important issue is that the system responds quickly to input during multitasking operation. And this is something both dual-core systems achieve, whether armed with AMD or Intel technology. In view of this fact, the sensation that AMD's double-core Turion TL-60 outperforms its "unicellular" relative by up to 63 percent fades to a dull marginal note...
