AMD announces more price cuts on Athlon XP
Right after Intel announced price cuts on their Celeron range, AMD have followed suit, cutting prices on their AthlonXP range by as much as 31.8%! "Compared to Intel, AMD posted a relatively greater discount, ranging from 6.3% to as high as 31.8%. Intel's largest cut was seen in its 2.4GHz Celeron, whose price only dropped by 18.4% to US$84 from US$103." . Competition sure is great, at least in the eyes of the consumer. It not only results in higher quality products, but significantly reduce prices as well.
