ADTX bumps up SATA to 400 GByte
Advanced Technology and Systems increased the storage capacity of its L Series SATA drives to 400 GByte, the vendor said late last week.
The Serial ATA (SATA) based RAID system uses either a 2-gigabit Fibre Channel or Ultra SCSI interface with a controller design that takes advantage of parity generating coprocessor, ADTX said. That achieves very high transfer rates and eliminates the need for more SCSI or Fibre Channel arrays in some applications, the vendor added.
