Adobe sues over Photoshop preview
A popular Mac-focused Web site has been hit with an eight-figure lawsuit for allegedly stealing trade secrets from Adobe Systems.
According to the suit, Macintosh News Network "maliciously misappropriated... confidential and proprietary information" when it obtained an unauthorized copy of the detailed feature guide for Adobe's unreleased Photoshop 6 and ImageReady 3 graphics packages. A preview of both products was published on the AppleInsider Web site that included large blocks of text taken verbatim or nearly verbatim from Adobe's Detailed Feature Guide, according to the lawsuit.
