Acer notebooks gain top rankings in Europe
Acer scored outstanding results across Europe in the third quarter of 2003, according to IDC’s preliminary data. Acer placed no. 1 for the notebook ranking in Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Spain, Switzerland, and the Czech Republic. "Compared to the third quarter of 2002, the unit shipment of Acer notebooks grew by 212% in Germany, and took 16% in market share ; in Italy Acer grew by 27% and took 33% in market share ; in the Netherlands Acer grew by 126% and took 22% in market share ; while in Switzerland Acer grew by 167% and occupied 26% of the market."
