Acer-brand notebook sales in US and China to drive 2006 profits
Acer projects its profits will hit the NT$10 billion (US$300 million) mark in 2006, driven by expansion of its Acer-branded notebook presence in the US and China, according to company chairman JT Wang. The own-brand PC vendor is looking to generate NT$7 billion (US$210 million) in profits this year, up 84 percent from NT$3.8 billion (US$114 million) in 2004.
