Acer Labs unveils first Athlon DDR chipset
Acer Laboratories has introduced the first DDR-enabled chipsets for AMD's Athlon, Mobile Athlon and Duron processors.
The ALiMAGiK 1 and MobileMAGiK 1 support both PC 1600/PC 2100 DDR and 133 SDRAM memory, with volume production set to begin in the fourth quarter. The first motherboard based on the chipsets, to be released by IWILL, was on display running various benchmarks at Ali's launch event in Taiwan.
